Smartsheet displays week numbers in ISO format. I need to display them in US format (1wk difference in 2016)
Date format should be as it is used it the US if you have your setting to US. Could you explain the difference? I am not familiar with this, what do you mean by 1wk difference in 2016?
Greg,
ISO-8601 defines week beginning with Monday.
Week numbers follow from that. Most (all?) of Europe uses this as well.
In the US, weeks begin on Sunday and the week numbers follow that.
The Islamic calendar starts on Saturday.
Note that we can configure the display of the Gantt chart for which day is the beginning of the week, but this does not impact the formula.
In ISO, the year started on Jan 4th. In the US, it started on Jan 3rd.
At least as far a week numbers go.
Craig
Thanks for the explanation - that was helpful
You are welcome.
I also would like to add that I'm glad if the developers have one choice of many to choose from, that they went with ISO.
