How do you write a formula to count certain values of an adjacent column from where you want to the count value displayed. In my sheet I need to count open positions and filled positions based on the status. My sheet is very large so I have to replicate this many times with varying row #s so looking for a quick way to tell the sheet to count the values of children rows in the status column.
Thanks in advance!
Hi Summer,
Not sure I follow! Do you want to COUNT or SUM the children of specific rows? Do you want to show the calculated value on the same row as the parent?
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
Have a fantastic week!

The columns involved are, 1:) Priority (symbol column) for Up, Unchanged, and Down, and 2:) Contact Card column. I am trying to get a sheet summary formula…
