In my organization there is focus to get tableau to provide data visualization in a similar manner as Smartsheet. There are teams of people that are working to set up what I have and I’ve been able to do what tableau is natively intended to do. I’m not trying to toot my horn but at the same time I feel that Smartsheet is so easy to set up and use that my sponsors are wanting the same from tableau. Anyone have a similar situation or other situation where Smartsheet is out doing what other applications are intended to do ?
I have found some restrictions with the dashboard for my use cases. Especially with formatting, I am hoping Smartsheet expands on formatting restrictions soon enough. Tableau and PowerBI are both very demanding and tough to get off the ground, but once your data is set, they both produce sharp looking dashboards. I am hoping with Smartsheet they start allowing more flexibility with adjustments and formatting.
