Is there a way to deny being able to check a box complete until an attachment is added.
Thanks in advance
Hi Dustin,
I have a few ideas!
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
Have a fantastic week!

Certain tasks get assigned to different people in my company. Some of these tasks but not all require attachments (i.e. construction drawings, permit applications, estimates) I don't want the assigned person to have the ability to check a task as completed until they have attached a document.
Ok.
Do they need to be able to change other things in the rows before they attach the file?
Andrée
Just a completion date.

Andrée when you say you have a few ideas, are you implying you know of a way to check for attachments? If so, you will be my hero!
I will refresh this thread every 10 minutes looking for a solution!!!
My thought would be to use the Unlock/Lock row actions, and that might still be an option depending on permissions needed.
Another option could be to use a third-party service like Zapier or similar to check a box when an attachment is added and if it's not checked when trying to complete it would show an error or/and send a message to you.
Would that work/be an option?
How would you like to use it?

I currently have a sheet (primary data) where I have data in rows where each row is a single project, with columns identifying persons, $ values, unique project identifier,…
Hello, I have a workflow where, when a team member checks a checkbox, Smartsheet automatically sends an email to themselves containing merge fields that are used as a customer email draft.
