Hi all ,
I would like to know , when I set a an alert so that an action must be triggered when reaching a certain date , at what time the action is actually triggered ? 00:01 ?
Thanks in advance .
Hi Alain,
If I understand you correctly, it will run at the time that you select from the list when you set up the Automation.
Have a fantastic weekend!

Hi ANDREE ,
Look at this formula : " IF([Due Date]1 = TODAY() + 3; 1; 0) " .
The formula is inside a check box cell ( column ) . As you can see , there is no time .
So my question is : " If the condition is met , at what time the cell concerned will turn checked ? " .
I hope it's clearer to you now .
Thanks .
It depends on what you've set the setting, Run workflow to. If it's when triggered, it will send almost immediately.
Make sense?
Andrée
Because you are using the TODAY() function, you will need to activate the sheet either by opening it or having a new form entry for the TODAY() function to update to today's date. As soon as the sheet is opened, the TODAY function will update and the box will change to checked.
It will register to run your workflow as soon as it is saved after the box has become checked. I can't remember the exact times, but I believe it usually takes no more than 15 minutes for the alert to be sent. I personally usually get it much faster than that, but I believe that's the amount of time Smartsheet has referenced in documentation.
Are you telling me that I have to define some settings ? How ?
Hi PAUL ,
Noted .
Thank you .
Happy to help!
I see now that I've misinterpreted your questions.
You want to know at what time the checkbox would get checked right?
Andrée
I too misinterpreted. To answer the question of "What time will the box be checked?"...
Because you are using the TODAY() function, you will need to activate the sheet either by opening it or having a new form entry for the TODAY() function to update to today's date. As soon as the sheet is opened, the TODAY function will update and the box will change to checked. Once the sheet is saved, the system will recognize the box as checked and run any workflows accordingly.
I am currently setting up an automation for people to get notified through their email, when they are prompted. But is there a way that they can reply in the email of a comment that will then go to the specific sheet. This way they do not have access to the sheet, but can just comment through email with updates?
Is there a way to revert to the old dashboard look and feel. The new dashboards do not look good at all. There is no way of knowing if there are additional items in the widgets until you scroll over one to learn there is more to it since the vertical bar doesn't show. We have hundreds of dashboards and they will all need…
When i try to send or print the timeline view instead of showing the progression bars like they do on the screen it only send the data entered and not a graph type view to print. Is there a way to do this. I am using a mac platform if that helps.
