Auto numbering

Hello,

is there a plan to add a function for "auto numbering" in smartsheet in the future?

1. title

1.1 sub-title

1.1.1 sub-sub...

I'm using it for project management and strategic planing and it would very usefull!

Good news Jack it is there already.

Right click on a new column to see the menu choices and choose Auto numbering.

See the graphic attached.

Also note the other really useful column types!

Hi Jack,

Although we do have auto-numbering as Richard pointed out, I believe you're specifically looking for a WBS or outline auto-numbering structure (possibly based on hierarchical indent level). We don't have that particular functionality in Smartsheet.

Thanks for the comment - We do plan on releasing Auto-Numbering (how you described), though I don't have a timeframe on this yet.
