Limit Usage of Shared Template

Options
We are using smartsheet as our audit documentation tool. Now, there are some audit firms here who would like to try smartsheet particularly our audit documentation template which includes our Firm's audit methodology, audit manual, audit program sheets and much more.

1. We are now considering of letting them use our template including our audit methodology for a fee. Is there a way we can incorporate in their smartsheet subscription, the fee for the use of our audit methodology?

and

2. Can we limit their use of our audit documentation template and methodology?

Thank you!

    John,

    (1) If you are charging them for the auditing tools, you could also add the fee and purchase the subscription for them - with the understanding that the subscription is annual. You could also talk to a reseller like Richard at SBP (whom I work with) and see if there are alternatives.

    (2) Unfortunately, probably not the way you want to. Once you give someone a tempalte, they can make as many copies (and share them) as they like.

This sounds more like Terms & Conditions for the sale, not a software control issue.

If they are given non-licensed users in your system, only share what they need to see, only give them editor privileges on things they need to edit and avoid giving them admin privileges if at all possible.

    Hope this helps.
