I'm using the project management template set. In the Project Sheet template, I'm simply trying to change the name of a task which has =[Project Plan]#

I tried to input within the brackets [ ] and tried without the brackets. What am I doing wrong? Please help. Thanks!

The # means that it's referencing a Sheet Summary field, and you should be able to change the name there.

Hi Andree, thanks for responding! I'm very new to using SmartSheet. The template folder has a Dashboard and I tried to change it there also but unable to. Could there be another Sheet Summary?

Happy to help!

Try changing the name manually in the cell showing #unparsable and save and then reload and look at the Dashboard.

I suspect that the formula in the sheet summary references the cell in the sheet instead.

It only allows me to change the font styles, but not the text

I meant in the sheet summary section in the sheet.

I did, but it does not change the task name in the sheet nor on the Dashboard. I saved and refreshed as well. I appreciate your time and help! I'll probably just create my own sheet.
