Task Status Update Resource Management to Smartsheets

Hi,

Does anyone know of a way of how we can push a task status update from Resource Management back into Smartsheets against the schedule? We are looking at rolling out time capture in resource management against the tasks which are setup and smartsheets. It would be quite a pain to have to either get resources to update the tasks in both systems or for me to have to do it all myself.

You're right, it is a pain, and the reason we never completed rolling out RM. I would love to know if there's an updated answer to this since we were last told it doesn't work that way.

Hi @M_Rogers,

Depending on which specific fields from your Resource Management project you are looking to push to Smartsheet, this should be accomplishable by connecting your RM project with the relevant sheet, after making these changes from either end, these should be automatically pushed into the other platform. Please see Sync Resource Management assignments with Smartsheet. for further detail about how to do this.

If you are intending to push updates on certain fields from RM that aren't supported such as the Work Item Status, When you have a moment, please submit your feature request to the Product team by creating an Idea post in the Smartsheet Product Feedback and Ideas topic.
