Dashboard - ability to color the series

Good Afternoon. I have a sheet tracking the article creation: Subject Matter Expert (SME), Article Status, Title of article, etc. I am creating a dashboard with several chart widgets based on the status within the sheet. There are 6 statuses. The MAIN widget is a grouped by status giving the total number of each status. The MAIN chart widget has color coded them based on the status (perfect). Now I am needing to create a chart widget for each staff member showing the status but want the color of each status to match that in the MAIN widget. Is this even possible?

Thank you in advance

When you're on the settings of the charts, click the Series arrow and it should open up the options for you to change the colors of the bars. I think you'll have to change the drop-down from "Apply to all series" to the color value it currently has. Then you change that color value.

@miketv I appreciate the response. The problem is that the individual widgets are consistently changing and the series is not picking up the colors consistently. What I am hoping can be done is to tie each individual widget to a "series" that has predefined colors. So when the data is updated, the correct color is automatically displayed for each widget

. If you see the example below, the series bar for Published was Red, with the data updated it is now Orange (which is the next one in line). I would like to make Not Started = Blue, In Progress/Vow = Red, Vow Review Required = Orange, Vow Review Completed = Green, Published = Purple and Not Needed = Yellow

Have you specified the series colors on every report? Are specified colors changing?

@MIKETV I have not specified the series colors at the report level. To be honest I did not know that could be done and not sure how to do it. I will head back to google to see how to do that at the report level.

You cannot specify colors within the report itself. All chart colors are specified within the dashboard settings. What I meant was this one looks to be your main report chart:

Does this one have it's colors specified or are you just letting SmartSheet do it's thing and the colors are changing sometimes? If you haven't specified them on this report, I would do so. That might keep them static and unchanging. Then you'd just have to match it's colors to your other graphs.

@miketv, I specified the colors in this chart for each status. I think what is happening is relating to the order of the statuses.

The order they are listed in the drop down is shown on the MAIN chart. As a status that is updated to a row, regardless of the order, it is taking the next one in line. For example

Alex has 3 statuses grouped for him. The one titled Vow Review Completed is actually the 4 status in the drop down and therefore it should be green (see MAIN chart). But because it is the 3rd one for his grouping (he doesn't have any with the Vow Review Required), the chart is picking up the next color in line.

I am assuming that Smartsheet doesn't allow for the assignment of colors across ALL widgets?

Thanks for your help and interest in solving this.
