when a workflow is set to trigger when a new row is added, does that workflow only run in the newly added row all the whole sheet

Ross,

When you set up a workflow to alert, notify when a row is added it will send you the information on the new added row only.

You can always test this by sending it to yourself by using the run now function after the automation is set up.

I don't want an alert I just want it to trigger the workflow when a row is added and changed the value of a cell in a different row, I know alerts are for that row, I'm asking how the trigger works, like does it scan the whole sheet or just that row?
