Change Column Name in Multiple Sheets

Is there a method to change column names in multiple sheets? (I'm aware of the impact on reports that include those sheets.) It is very labor-intensive to change the column names in multiple sheets, but that is how we work in the real world. Change, change, change. 

I've already updated the template, but wow what a pain to have to touch each sheet built on the previous template.

Hello Jean—

Columns must be changed in sheets manually and individually per sheet. One way I can think of batching the change is to use our API, which requires developer resources: https://smartsheet-platform.github.io/api-docs/

I'd recommend also submitting your use case for why you batch change multiple column names on a regular basis to our Product team via the Product Enhancement Request form under Quick links to the right of the community site.

Be aware that changing column names (or types) impact (negatively) any Reports that reference those sheets.

Even with the API, this problematic.

Best practice: Pick name and stick to it.
