Dragging a formula - Please help

Hi there,

I am trying to change text cell values from one form survey results to number values on another sheet that I can then report on & manipulate better with numbered values.

I can't figure out how to update the formula references so that they dynamically update when dragging down the column. When I link to a cell in a specific sheet the IF formula works but when I drag it down, the formula still references the initial cell link. When I linked to the column, the IF formula returns an invalid error. Would someone be able to assist me with this please?

I have 37 columns in the report so really hoping I don't have to manually type a new formula for each. Please see pics below if helpful at all.

Have you explored using a VLOOKUP formula instead?

Thanks for your response, much appreciated.

Regardless of the formula used, I still need to drag it down & across to update rows & columns. Does a vlookup formula automatically update the references ranges whereas an IF statement will not?
