select data cannot be charted, please select a new range
I am now trying this for 4 days in a row and it's taking me in cycles. I am unable to chart or metric data as a dashboard widget. I keep on getting the error
select data cannot be charted, please select a new range
No matter if i use a default sheet, please note i am not trying to trend from a row report or a summary report but from a sheet. This has been working for me in the past.
Can someone let me know what is wrong ?
I am on a 30 day trial - could this be a reason ?

If I had to guess: Yes. You've likely hit the limit for your trial. Although this doesn't say anything about not letting dashboards work...

Hi @chuzi
I hope you're well and safe!
Can you share some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help.
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

I still have 25 days of trial left and our org is working on getting me a license but I do not think this licensing is the case.

Hi @chuzi
Chart Widgets require data to be formatted as numerical before they can read content and display them in graphs and charts. This means that if you're selecting columns in your sheet that only have text in them, the chart is unable to create calculations based off of text and know what you want it to display.
You'll likely need to either create a Report with Grouping and Summary applied (to create numerical values out of your grouped content) or use formulas to generate the numbers you need.
I'm certain our Community would be happy to help you! Can you explain what it is you're looking to chart?
