getting date from another sheet gives #INVALID COLUMN TYPE error

When we click start_date reference sheet then opens reference window as below!

Reference Sheet (Sheet 2)

Sheet 1: Created date id of Date type

Please Assist!

I only want to get the create date into start date.

Date is present in a sheet 1

I'm referencing it in sheet 2 but gives an error

It works if the created date is of text type column

The column that you are putting the formula in, change it to a date column and see if it spits out the date then.
