Project ID that is was not previously created and associated to projects?

What happens if projects are created without having a project ID associated to it? Anyone come into a place that had this prior to you arriving and how can you fix that?

If it's an auto number column, you can change it to text and change it and change it back to an auto number column.

@Lachlan Stead I'm coming into an organization that did not use a project numbering system to identify projects with a project number.
