Using Countifs where column data is never the same
Trying to use a Countif formula to track a column of data, but the data in each cell is always different. Attaching a snippet of some of the data from that column. Some data does repeat, but for the most part, the column data would always be different, unlike a dropdown list. What would be the best approach to use count these "Key Products"?

Hi @Rick Byers
Yes, a Grouped Report would be better in this instance, if the values are variable. You can Group by that column then use a Summary to Count how many of the same option appear. This way when new rows are added the new value will automatically appear in the Report.

Have you explored using a Report instead?
Would that work/help?

Trying to count the different Key Products/Grades in the column. Some of the data will repeat, but this column could have random responses in each cell, so am trying to count the initiatives in this column. I have not tried a report - would that be a better way to approach this, where the data is always variable?
