Index/Collect - #incorrect argument set
Hi Can anyone please tell me what is wrong with my syntax? I have done index/collect before and the syntax is the same. The dates are "text" which shouldn't matter. I also tried numbers in place of dates and still get the same. I am baffled....

It seems like you are trying to pull the Employee 1 Janurary numbers. If that is the case you can simply do:
=INDEX(Jan3:Dec7, MATCH(Feb@row, PM3:PM7, 0), MATCH(Mar12, Jan1:Dec1, 0))
The incorrect argument you are getting is because the COLLECT function expects the criteria range to match the layout and size of the range you are collecting from. The INDEX function allows you to separate and work through the columns and rows separately

Thanks, I could use the 2 Match idea as well. But I changed the Collect range to match the layout and match of the range i am collecting from. But still getting #incorecct argument set. Is my collect range incorrect?
See attached screen shot.
