Want CARD VIEW to show by Assigned to - not an option

In Card VIEW, my only option is to VIEW BY STATUS, there is no option to add a lane, as i'd like to view by ASSIGNED TO and a lane by PRIORITY. I can EDIT LANE, but that's just to change the name of the STATUS lane. Thanks for your help!

I assume that it's a multi-select contact column. Correct? (It only works with the single select option at the moment)

Hey Andree. Thanks for response! I don't know what a single/multi column select means! The only option I have is to select by status, but when i search smartsheets online, there are many samples of SS sorting by Assigned To

Double-check so your contact list column doesn't have the Allow multiple contacts per cell.
