I have inherited a project plan/Gantt chart that has a "Critical" column with the ISCRITICAL formula. However, I don't know how to flag a task so it becomes critical. How do I update a task to be considered critical on my Gantt chart?

It is based on predecessors and whatnot. If a delay on that specific task directly affects the projected end date based on the predecessors in the tasks that come after, it is automatically considered critical. You can use the ISCRITICAL function to output something based on whether it is or not, but you can't use a formula or anything to change whether or not it is.
