Help with Column Edit Permissions
Hi All,
When I share a sheet with my associate (or visa versa), the person who did not create the sheet is not able to edit the column properties. They are 'grayed' out. I checked and it looks like we both have the same permissions, so Im not sure why that happens.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Robyn

Robyn,
Free collaborators are unable to change column properties. Is the user a free collaborator? This is done to prevent abuse of the Smartsheet licensing system
See: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/520100-user-types#collaborator for more information
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for your response Ben! I bought the 3 person license and they are one of the users. I believe that means I paid for them, right?
Also, when they created a sheet, I could not edit it either, and I am a paid user for sure. What do you think?

To edit the sheet properties they would have to be shared with Admin privileges.

Hello,
Click the Sharing tab at the bottom and expand the Collaborators section to make sure they're shared as an Admin on the sheet as well. (Have them do the same for you on their sheet.)
It sounds like they're a paid user since they created a sheet, so they might just need their permissions bumped up to Admin.
