Email Link In Dashboard

Hi! It's been requested that I provide some contact info on a dashboard including an email link. For some reason, I cannot figure out how to make the text in the email address link to open/create a new email. Am I missing something? I've tried all kinds of widgets on the dashboard and even tried to find external ways to create an email link. Any suggestions?

A possible work around is to set a picture of the email address to open a 'contact' form.

You could then either (or both):

• Have the user fill out the form with their request, which then (via automation) is emailed
• Include in the the form (with no other fields?) the hyperlink to the email address

An extra step or two for the user, but an extra level of security should the dashboard be published on the web.

Unfortunately, it's not possible now, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit this as a Product Feedback or Idea (If it hasn't been added already) when you have a moment.

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• You can use a URL-shortener service like bit.ly or similar and have it link to something like mailto:youraddress@domain.com

@Andrée Starå I have personally submitted multiple enhancement requests for this very thing. I have seen many, many other people on the discussion board requesting this also, going back a few years. When exactly are these enhancement requests looked at and considered? After a certain number of people request it? This is a very basic functionality that would enhance so many dashboards!

I would think most companies would not be keen on using a URL-shortener service, at least mine is not.
