Can someone help me with a date formula?

I have a column that shows how many days have passed since a start date. I would like to add a column with an end date, and if there is an end date, have that count stop.

So if the end date is blank, the count will keep going up. If the end date is entered, it will show how many days passed between the start date and the end date.

Pretty straightforward I think, but please let me know if I can answer any questions!
