LOGIN User name and Password required everytime

Smartsheets needs to repair this issue, please! Every time you log out or just X out of the smartsheest/Chrome browser it requires user name & password every time. I believe this has happened since they introduced the desktop app.

    Hi @Steve Snell,

It must be something on your end. I use Chrome, and that doesn't happen to me. I just tried in order to confirm before replying to your post.

Might be stale cache, company policy, or some other browser setting.

    BRgds,

    -Ray

    Hi @Steve Snell

I hope you're well and safe!

    Try these troubleshooting steps first.

    • Try a different browser.
    • Clear the cache

If the steps above don't solve it, and If you haven't already, I recommend submitting a support ticket through the new Smartsheet Support Portal and providing the results of the troubleshooting steps above.

    Did that work/help?

    I hope that helps!

Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

  • Hi
I am having the same issue and I have cleared the cache and still asks me for a login and password EVERY time…
Also not sure how using a different browser will work as this is the desktop app issue…
    Tx

    @saltofmaldon,

    Hello,

This post was not about a desktop app issue. Instead it was a computer browser issue. The original post stated "I believe this has happened since they introduced the desktop app."

Are you experiencing this issue on your computer browser or desktop app?
