URL Query String and Workapps
Hi,
I created URL query string to pre-populate values a form for 12 different departments (to ensure each selects their correct area). I followed the instructions from Use a URL query string to prefill different default values for the same form | Smartsheet Learning Center. Then I tested each URL strings to ensure the strings worked properly.
Next, I created 12 new pages in my Workapp. I pasted the modified URL string for each department. Unfortunately, when I test the page on the Workapp, the correct form opens, but it is not pre-populated.
Is there a step I'm missing? Once a page has been added to the workapp, the URL used is no longer editable.
Thanks
Al

@Moxam That's weird, as it works for me. Can you do snapshots of what you are doing?

I first created and tested the links
Then I add a Smartsheet form on the WorkApp
I copy and paste the URL from Excel into the WorkApp, and give it a unique name.
I then set page permissions, and add the record
For the record, when I use the link on the spreadsheet, the field is pre-populated:
However, the link is not populated when the form is called from WorkApps.
Cheers,

@Eric Law - Sorry for not tagging you on my reply. Screenshots are in the chat above. I look forward to any suggestion to getting this working.
Thanks

Hi @Moxam
I got curious and tested myself.
If I use "web content" instead of " form, " the form pre-populates the value.
