Card view: Within Card view how can I delete a lane?
Answers

Is that an option within the Status column?

Not that I can see...

Try switching over to Grid view, double check the Status column properties to ensure it is not an option (there obviously aren't any rows with it being selected at least), then switch back over to card view.

@Paul Newcome I understand your response but is there a way to eliminate lanes from a report that clearly filters those options out? For instance, my team houses requests for a department in one sheet but then we want to be able to build reports that allow us to use card view by owner for smaller teams within that BUT are finding it impractical when there are so many empty lanes cluttering the view so we can't drag and drop to change owner (without frustration).
TIA for your help!

Reports pull directly from the source sheet(s), so any property changes to things like columns would have to be done in the individual sheet(s).
As for having columns in reports automatically hide themselves when there is a zero count for it because of a filter "by current user", that's just not possible unfortunately.

Why can I not just right click and delete the lane? I can't do it the way I want to in Grid View:https://www.process.st/how-to/remove-lanes-in-smartsheet/#:~:text=Select%20the%20%E2%80%9CLanes%E2%80%9D%20view%20to,option%20from%20the%20context%20menu.

@Thetruth2234 None of those instructions are actually applicable to Smartsheet as it currently is. I am not sure who wrote them or when, but they are not valid instructions.
