plotting the same day multiple times

I've set up a scatter plot to display the status of a task against the created date and priority rating, I have multiple points for the same day at different priorities and instead of stacking these points vertically the chart widget is plotting the same day multiple times for each point, is there a way to fix this?

If your date is referenced multiple times (on multiple rows) in the source sheet then it will show up multiple times in your chart.

Instead you'll want to have one column with the specific dates listed down, one day at a time, and then for data points that happen on the same day add those in new columns along that same date row. Does that make sense?
