Automatic Update of Dropdown List?

I saw several discussions on this and I'm wondering if there is a formula or an easy way without a 3rd party to automatically update a dropdown list based on a cell in one sheet? I can create a helper sheet if that would help. Any ideas? I don't believe I have the premium Smartsheets plan.

I haven't seen this possible without the use of a 3rd party integration. I don't believe it is supported natively in Smartsheet. The question comes up all the time though.

Thank you, Ray! This is unfortunate. Seems like it should be an easy automation. I've been helped through some very complex (at least to me) formulas and this one seems like it should be a no-brainer...but yet I haven't been able to locate any work arounds.

Absolutely. I have a webform and the data from that form automatically imports into one sheet, Applications. The application form then copies into the Eligibility Sheet where I can then determine if students are eligible to be hired. I take the names from this sheet and have been copying them into my dropdown Name list in my Active TA Sheet. I'd like to automate that process so I don't have to manually update it as it seems to take a while for the update to take place. I get hundreds of applications and this can be cumbersome.

Do you have access to the Premium App Data Shuttle? It can be used to automate the Dropdown options.

Is that an option?

Unfortunately I do not think I have access to the premium plan.

My guess would be no, as I use an enterprise license.

It can also be done through the API if you or anyone on your team has coding abilities. The API doesn't cost anything additional, but it is definitely more technical to set up.
