Set a recurring time to update cells linked from another sheet

I have 2 smartsheet items that I want to link together. On the master sheet, my colleagues update a column of cells with numeric values (CHILDREN) that totals to a (PARENT) cell. There are also some linked sheets that gets updated individually and then updated automatically on the master sheet in the same (PARENT) cell.

This happens at different times each month. Since Smartsheet updates in real time and will show the real time value as at the last update, I want Smartsheet to capture the total value (PARENT) cell into another sheet per month for each respective month when updates are made on the Master sheet. So the question is am I able to set a recurring time per month for the linked sheet to receive data from the Master sheet into unique cells? I would have created columns for each month in this other sheet, so that I see each month’s individual values.

You could use a Workflow with the copy row Action to a so-called helper sheet.

Many thanks @Andrée Starå for your quick response.

I did try the 'Copy row Action', but this has not fulfilled my requirement, except I'm not doing the right thing or Smartsheet is not equipped to solve my problem statement.

Just to mention, that I can get the data from one cell unto another by just using the 'Link from Cell in other sheet' however, I don't want this update to be on the same cell every month. I want to see the value for each month in a separate cell based on specific dates I specify. So for example, I would like to see the value of the cell in the helper sheet as at June 30 in June Column and the value of the cell as at July 30 in the same helper sheet but now in July column. Both values coming from Master sheet (same cell) but on specific dates as above.
