Countif specific type and year

@Paul Newcome this isn't working. I am trying to count the number of items in a different sheet looking at the close date column for those items that are deal stage 5, segment 1 and have a close date in the current year which in this case is 2023. When we reach 2024 I would only want to count those with a close date in 2024.

@Melissa Torrez Are you getting an error message or an incorrect count? The criteria I provided in my last comment is literally stripping the year from each date and comparing it to the current year based on today's date (so it will update to 2024 when we roll into that year).

@Paul Newcome perhaps I am not connecting the formula correctly. I am getting Unparseable
=IFERROR(YEAR({Close Date}), 0 = YEAR(TODAY(), COUNTIFS({segment}, "Segment 1", {status}, [Deal Stage ]@row))))

The piece I provided should be entered exactly as is (including the @cell portion) as the criteria for your date range within the COUNTIFS.
