Making Column Required

I have done some searching around the Smartsheet community but couldn't find a conclusive answer. Can I make a column required so that if it is left blank and try to save the sheet will error out asking me to enter data.

The only way to make a field required for data entry would be to use a form or the premium add-on Dynamic view.

This is not possible when working directly in a sheet or report.
