Parent/Child Relationship when importing from Excel

When we import Excel workplans into SmartSheet, we lose the parent/child relationship of tasks that were created through indenting.

I have played around with formulas/conditional formatting to automate but have not been successful.

Does this require using custom code?

Yes. You will need the API to get the hierarchy to pull over.
