MAX function -most recent date
I know this should work, but it's not. I am referencing other sheets and pulling in the max date. I am getting an unparseable in return. What am I missing?
If I put just one "HOUDATE" it's invalid.
yes - I am pulling from Date column types.
Thanks!!

When using cross sheet references, you only enter the range once since the {Range} is already referencing the entire column.
=MAX({HOUDATE})

I tried that and got "invalid column value" when I do that.. .
??

Make sure the column you are putting the formula in is set as a date type column.
-
Triple checked - it is.

The column with your actual formula in it (not the one being referenced). The one in your initial screenshot titled "Column2". What about that one?

ooh no.. I didn't do that!!
and just like MAGIC, it works!
As usual, you are awesome Paul!!
