How to total unique dropdown choices

I have a column that is a drop down allowing only a single choice. Currently, I am counting the totals of each choice by writing multiple COUNTIF formulas. Is there some easier way to get that information?

Depending on what you are using your data for, and your filtered criteria, a Report would easily summarize the data for you. This data can be used in a dashboard. One option in Summarize is the COUNT function

If your license allows you access to the Pivot App, the Pivot app is a separate option that might provide data without having to build individual formulas.
