How Do I Use the Created Date + Modified Date Columns
Hi,
I have no idea how to use these columns. I'm just trying to add the date I started a task in the "Created Date" column, and I was assuming the "Modified Date" column could be used for when I completed the task or changed something. I'm trying to enter info into these columns manually and it's not working. What's going on here?

The Created date and Modified date that are column types in a smartsheet are system columns. These have pre-defined criteria to set a date when the row is created and update the modified when any cell in the row is changed. If you are wanting your own date columns that allow you to change the data, you can still name them Modified or Created, but you will want to choose a Date type column in the options.

One other thing though. I noticed that even if that the timing is wrong for my time zone. Is there any way to change that for those two columns if I do decide to use them?
