hello! I'm new to smart sheet and am creating a dashboard. how do you go about creating a visual towards a goal? would it be a simple bar chart?

I would use a stacked bar or column.

The source data would be structured such that you have the goal in one column, the actual in another column, and then the remaining in a third column. You can then use a stacked bar or column chart to show the Actual and Remaining (which will add up to the goal).
