DATEONLY Function

Hi all,

I want to extract only the date from below-mentioned Date & Time format & then use it for computing the duration of certain activity.

08/28/2023 02:45:17 AM PDT

DATEONLY formula is not working with this Date-Time format. This date & time format is extracted from our ERP system reports & can not be changed.

Can someone help me to extract only date & then use it calculate the duration between two dates?

I have had a quick play and got this working with a helper column involved.

The first column in the screenshot is your source data

The second column is just extracting the date part from the date/time stamp

The third column is turning the extracted date part into an actual date.

I am in the UK which is why my Date Portion as Date is showing in UK date format. If you follow the formulas in this screenshot, your Date Portion as Date column will format as per your regional settings.
