Blueprint - Update a sheet summary column for all projects
Hi, I am using blueprint to manage over 600+ projects. It has come to my attention that the working team wants to add 10 new data points. What I have been doing is adding those 10 new data points in a "Site detail & metric" sheet for each project, then going into the blueprint to add the new columns. I know it won't automatically link for previous projects in the portfolio summary sheet, but is there a way to add the 10 data points to the 600+ sheets without manually going into each one?

Hi @swaldon2
I hope you're well and safe!
To add to Jacob's excellent advice/answer.
Beware that if you have anything in the Sheet Summary already, it will be replaced with the copy.
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

I am not talking about the sheet summary. I am talking about how blueprint/control center works. You need to have the word 'summary' and the metrics you want in a portfolio summary sheet to be one indent from the word 'summary'. I want to add new metrics across all the projects without having to manually do it. Is this possible?

Aha!
I call that data Profile Data to avoid confusing it with Sheet Summary.
Yes, you can add new Profile Data to all that have been provisioned through Control Center.
More info.

Isn't profile data what you add in the intake sheet? If not can you explain what the difference of the summary profile data on a metric sheet versus intake?

Control center solutions can be built in so many ways.
Here is how I build them.
Data Flow with links/one-time writes etc.
Intake-> Metric sheet -> Project plan.
Project plan -> Metric sheet -> Portfolio rollup
The profile data is in the Metric sheet but the data can flow several ways depending on how and what you need to see in your portfolio reporting.
This can help if you need additional training Smartsheet Control Center for Program Leads
