Milestone met, change end date

I have a task that a team member has a month to complete. Instead of the team member needing to update the Date Finished column, I would like them to be able to mark the milestone as complete and have the milestone start/finish update to [Today] which would trigger the end date of the Task above match the milestone date. I'm at a loss as to what linking and formulas I'd need to make this. I would need it to be applicable just to certain rows, not worksheet or even column wide.

You might consider using the "Record a Date" workflow automation on your sheet. More information about that is here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2481986-set-the-current-date-with-record-a-date-action

Essentially, you add a column to your sheet where the completion date would be recorded. You set the workflow to trigger when the task status changes to Complete. The date recorded will be the date the status is changed.
