Generate Document

HI Smartsheet Help Team,

I created a form in the smartsheet and collected answers from people. Is there any way I can use "Generate Document" to plug in the answers back to the smartsheet form or I have to make a pdf editable form to generate the document? Please advise.

The document generator only works with fillable PDFs. To get row data back into the form, you will need to use a formula to manipulate the form URL and output a unique link in a cell. Below is a link to SS's help article to get started on URL manipulation, there are a number of threads here in the Community that do a deeper dive into it, and they are going to have some sessions regarding it at ENGAGE.

Imagine a sales manager wants their team to log all client phone calls in a central, easily accessible sheet, and wants each call to include the name of the sales rep logging the call. The manager creates one base form, then gives each person on the team a different URL with a query string that prefills their name.
