Formula to Update a % Complete on a Row
I have a project schedule with the % Complete, start and end dates. I have a checklist that is another Smartsheet used by another group. I would like to right a formula that will mark a task at 100% complete when the other checklist is complete by another group. It looks like that the % Complete column will not allow a formula because it is used as a part of the Project Dependency Settings. I wanted to see if anyone knew of a workaround to update the % Complete column based on other sheets or fields.

@Randall Alberts CBRE Please provide screenshots of what you are referring to and where you want it populated.

So I am trying to create a formula where I can either reference another sheet or another column that if checked, then it marks the % Complete to 100%. This would be a unique rule for some rows, so a Automation will not work. Here is a screen shot of what I am trying to accomplish. If the TDM Tasks is =IF([TDM Tasks]@row=1, 1,0).

If you don't want the Parent Rollup functionality in the % Complete column, you can turn this off in your Project Settings:
Selecting "none" will allow you to add a formula to that column. 🙂
Here's more information:
