Multiple Resources Assigned to Task -Shouldn't this Change Finish Date?

I have a project I'm working on and when I add resources to tasks it does not change the finish date? Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to change it? Settings? Resource Management?

Sure - so in the screenshot I'm attaching there are a few lines with tasks that have

a. start date

b. finish date

c. desired finish date

d. assigned resources with % allocation

The lines that have multiple resources originally had only 1 resources, but I added another in an effort to change the finish date. Nothing happened.

Additionally, when you add a second resource, there is no way to assign a separate allocation %.

If you're using the Resource Management feature, add each resource on a separate row
