How to =SUM a column with GB and TB size values?

I am looking to get a total for a column that is using GB and TB data sizes. Is there a way to use the =SUM formula to find the total?

Ex:

3.91TB

3.21TB

5.8GB

7.3GB

You will need a helper column that converts them into numbers. As it is, it is being stored as text strings which cannot be used in numeric calculations.

=VALUE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE([Size Column]@row, "TB", ""), "GB", "")) * IF(FIND("G", [Size Column]@row)> 0, .001, 1)

The above should convert everything into TB.
