Sharing a Sheet
Can I share a sheet to someone outside of my organization WITHOUT them having to create a Smartsheet account?

What if instead of sharing it you publish it? You can publish a sheet as read-only or even give editing abilities.
-
@cbsarge I think this might work! I'm testing this out now. Stand by!
-
@cbsarge Nope - this won't work. I'm essentially trying to share a specific sheet with a customer WITHOUT them having to login or create an account. I just tried the publish suggestion and both instances said when they clicked on the link, it was asking them to login. Thank you though.

If you choose "Edit by Anyone - Publish Link" and then select "Available to anyone with the link" it shouldn't ask them to login.
-
@cbsarge That's what I thought too but with both of my test cases, it asked them to login. :(

Do you Publish settings look like this:
For me that allowed me to open a Chrom Incognito tab and browse to and then edit the sheet without logging in.
-
@cbsarge Nope - I only have the last 2 options and that is only if I select these 2 options:
We currently have Read Only - HTML disabled.
-
Hmmmm... as soon as I toggle "Edit by Anyone" to ON it opens the screen I pasted above. If you click on Get Link does it show you a second screen like mine?
-
@cbsarge It does not. This is what my options are for either one:
-
Ah - the top one is greyed out. Are you an Admin on your account? If you go to:
Settings - Security Controls - Smartsheet Admin Center
You should be able to enable that option if desired.
