Linked cell does not update if data in source sheet is removed

I have a source sheet that milestones are added in relation to the date they take place. When that milestone pushes a week and we remove it from the source sheet it does not remove it from the linked sheet. If we change the data instead it will update so, I know the link works. It only is an issue if the data is removed. For now we are entering a "-" but, when I put the linked sheet in card view the "-" are represented as data and makes the card view look cluttered. I saw other posts similar to this but, have not found a solution.

Hiya! This should now be resolved.

In some instances, the cell link may need to be refreshed... you can do this by making any change to the source cell and saving.

This has begun to happen to me as well. This seems to be new behavior as I have not modified these links in months. However as of yesterday they began to stop updating IF the source sheet cell is blank. Any guidance would be very helpful

I'd open a ticket to support for it so they know...it might be a bug or unintentional change on the backend that's not recognizing empty cells for link update. Agree that sounds super frustrating!

Hi all,

I checked in with Support and we're currently investigating similar reports, where a blank cell no longer links through as blank but keeps the previous cell history until there's another change. I don't have an ETA for when this will be resolved but they're actively looking into it!
