How do I work on a sheet that is heavily used.

I have a heavily used sheet, and I want to create automations for it. Can I make a copy, create the automations, add columns then save the copy as the original name and retain the original url?

@PeterLatcapital Your sheet url is tied to the sheet ID when created. You can't transfer that. Are you looking to add Formulas or Automations? Why are you adding in columns? What you can do it you can create a copy of the sheet and finesse your formula/automations on that and then duplicate it on the original sheet.
