What happens when the attribute names (column names) are changed?

We have a few dashboards which use the data from certain attributes (columns) in a sheet. We've recently decided to change the names of these attributes. What will the impact be on the dashboards be?

+ Is there an effective way to change the column names in all the cells that reference said columns at once instead of going to each cell and updating it manually?

Changing a column name does not affect cell references or cross sheet references.

If your dashboards are built with reports and the reports have filters in then you could have a problem. Cell references and cross sheet references update beautifully when columns are renamed - you don't have to do anything to your cells that reference them. Filters do not update. If you have a filter on a report and change the column name, the filter will stop working. If you have multiple filters they can be tricky to fix as selecting the new column name from the drop down deletes the logic and moves the rows around. If you don't have filters on your reports you will be fine.
