Adding/Viewing Comments on Dynamic View

My Dynamic View does not permit adding/viewing attachments but does permit adding/viewing comments. This set-up was working for weeks but now when I click on "Comments" in the details pane, the option to add or view comments has been replaced with "No attachments to display".

@smarion Have you checked the settings under view display? they're to be checked in order to show in the details panel.

I have double checked that this is set-up correctly, both boxes under Comment are checked and both boxes under Attachments are unchecked (I do not want users to add or view attachments).
