I would add an "OverDue" column, which determines if Today() >Due date. 😀
The example below uses the Sheet summary, but you can use a report and show the team by filtering by the OverDue.

I wanted to run something like a pivot on it.

When you say like a pivot on it, do you mean to show only the overdue item?
If so, as I commented in the previous comment, you can use a report with an overdue-checked filter.
When you only show some tasks out of a project, it is recommended to create a breadcrumbs column to show relevant information like parent.
example: Parent 1 >Task 1 Team A
=PARENT([Task Name]@row) + " >" + [Task Name]@row + " Team " + Team@row
