Creating Dashboards

I'm trying to create dashboards and I keep getting "Selected data cannot be charted. Please select new range." I've tried a few different things and searched for a solution but nothing seems to work. It doesn't let me select a new data source, when I go to the sheet I want data from, it's greyed out and I can't select anything, as per below.

It looks like you are trying to use a report to generate your chart. In that case you will need to group the report and use at least one summary field within the report itself to create the labels and numbers required for generating a chart type widget.
